Ana DaSilva
Board Member
Ms. DaSilva is a Family Empowerment Center (FEC) Grant Director for the Westside Family Resource and former Board President of South Central Los Angeles Regional Center (SCLARC) as well as a parent of a 22 year old son diagnosed with autism.
Ms. DaSilva has helped further the mission of the regional center in providing the highest quality services possible to persons diagnosed with a developmental disability and their families. She has used her advocacy skills for the betterment of the agency and its stakeholders by assisting in shaping policy and procedures, while avidly promoting self-advocacy so that persons with developmental disabilities find their own voices.
Ms. DaSilva is very committed to the issues of autism, parent support and advocacy for special education students. She is also dedicated to educating her community about developmental disabilities and has helped countless other parents and community members become aware of issues affecting individuals with special needs as well as the services provided by the regional center system.
