Odulia Juarez
Chief of Case Management
Mrs. Juarez is the Chief of Case Management for Children Services at South Central Los Angeles Regional Center where she assists the department Directors with oversight of case management services; ensures the delivery of services meet compliance measures per Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Directives, agency protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Mrs. Juarez began her career at South Central Los Angeles Regional Center in 2003 as a Service Coordinator Trainee. Within 4 months, she was promoted to Service Coordinator, given her hard work and dedication in advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities. In 2016, Mrs. Juarez took the role of Team Leader, providing support to two Program Managers; facilitating training to Service Coordinators and problem resolution to case matters.
In 2019, Mrs. Juarez accepted the position of Disparity Case Management Specialist; served as a liaison between SCLARC’s Navigator program and the Case Management department to discuss procurement of services for mutual cases and provided recommendations on mitigating identified issues and barriers. She collaborated with vendors to discuss concerns related to disparity and formulated outcomes for resolution that helped provide additional supports to individuals and families. Mrs. Juarez completed disparity statistical reports related to trends in service requests, underutilized services, and individuals without Purchase of Services to help reduce the agency’s overall POS disparities. She attended new parent orientation, town hall meetings, outreach events with community agencies and SCLARC Board of Directors’ meetings to provide clarification and education on the regional center system and POS. Mrs. Juarez also participated in committees at the direction of the DCAS Director/ Assistant Director to included Person Centered Thinking, Employment First and Self Determination. Lastly, she monitored the case management helpline and associated email by assisting individuals and families with interfacing with assign Service Coordinators and/ or answering questions related to their specific case.
In October 2020, Mrs. Juarez stepped into the responsibilities of Interim Program Manager; directly supervised 15 employees and carried out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. In February 2021, she was promoted to Self Determination Program Manager for Children Services; supervised and coordinated activities of Service Coordinators in providing services to individuals between the ages of 3 and 22. She also completed the oversight of case management activities involving individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Lanterman Act and the agency’s mission and core values. In June 2022, she was promoted to Chief of Case Management for the Children Services Department.
Mrs. Juarez is a graduate of the California State University Los Angeles (CSULA), where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Business Innovation which she earned from the University of West Los Angeles (UWLA). Additionally, she received a Private Teacher’s License from East Los Angeles Community College.
