Sherita Rogers is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority who currently works as a Special Education Teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District. She has also previously worked as a long-term substitute teacher in both Culver City Unified and Compton Unified School Districts. Ms. Rogers comes to SCLARC with extensive experience advocating for the rights and needs of high-needs populations, such as academically and socially challenged youth. She has spent the last five years working for independent living programs as an assistant supervisor advocating for the rights of clients and assisting clients of the Westside regional center making the transition to independent living. Sherita is an advocate who passionately promotes the rights and needs of individuals and families that belong to the developmentally disabled community.
