Dr. Kim Bowie
Dr. Kim Bowie serves as the Chief of the Community Services Department. In this role, she provides oversight to three major areas in the regional center: resource development, quality assurance, and vendor training. Dr. Bowie joined South Central L. A. Regional Center in 1999 as the Training and Development Manager. Prior to taking on the role of Chief of Community Services, she was the Program Manager of Quality Assurance.
As the Chief of Community Services, Dr. Bowie assists the Leadership Team in the development of administrative policies regarding legislative regulations, activities and contractual mandates. She also coordinates inter/intra agency activities specific to program development, resources and utilization of services. Dr. Bowe maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community that SCLARC serves in order to assist the center with the implementation of the highest standards of service delivery for persons with developmental disabilities. She holds a Doctorate degree in Public Administration from the University of La Verne, a Master’s of Public Administration from Cal State Dominguez Hills and a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science from Cal State Northridge.
