As SCLARC’S Human Resources Manager, James W Ferguson, Jr has over 35 years of experience in both the private and public sector. Mr. Ferguson recently returned to SCLARC in 2005, after a successful career as the Employee Development Manager for Nestle Waters of North America San Fernando/Central California Market. Mr. Ferguson began his career with SCLARC as SCLARC’S Community Integration Specialist from 1987-1992. During his very successful career, Mr. Ferguson was employed as an Assistant Teacher in Peekskill, New York, The Physical Director of The United Way-Boy’s Club in Virginia Beach, VA and worked in Sales for Coca-Cola USA in Portsmouth, VA.

Mr. Ferguson has held positions in Management with McDonald’s and The Foundation for The JR Blind. At SCLARC, Mr. Ferguson is responsible for fostering employee relations by promoting a positive work experience and environment. He is also responsible for oversight of the Appraisal System, New Hire Orientation, Recruitment, Labor Law Implementation and Benefit Program Analysis and Coordination. Mr. Ferguson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and is Development Dimensions International (DDI) Certified as a Master Trainer. Mr. Ferguson also holds numerous training and Human Resources Professional Certificates.
