Kiara Lopez
Chief Advancement Officer
Ms. Lopez is the Chief Advancement Officer at South Central Los Angeles Regional Center. She began her career at SCLARC in 2017 as the Early Start Outreach Service Coordinator. During this time, she was responsible for providing outreach in the community to help connect children from ages birth to three to SCLARC Early Start services. Ms. Lopez also worked directly with families to develop the Individualized Family Services Plan and help put services in place for children in her caseload. In 2020, Ms. Lopez was promoted to Community Relations Specialist where she was responsible for working with the various parent support groups in SCLARC’s catchment area, assisted with the management of SCLARC’s social media sites, provided outreach to the community and spearheaded various programs. In 2021, Ms. Lopez was promoted to Advancement Officer and later to Chief Advancement Officer. In her current role, she oversees a team who implements some of SCLARC’s grant funded programs as well as external community partnerships, donations, special events, the overall management of SCLARC’s online presence, and the development & coordination of SCLARC’s internal trainings.
Before starting at SCLARC, Ms. Lopez worked at 211 LA County where she was responsible for the planning and production of agency printed materials, the recruitment and training of volunteers, outreach, and special event planning.
Ms. Lopez obtained her Master in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles. Ms. Lopez is also a graduate of the National Leadership Institute on Developmental Disabilities from the University of Delaware.
