Maura McGinnis Gibney is the Chief Advancement Officer for SCLARC. Tasked with managing SCLARC’s fund development activities, Ms. McGinnis Gibney oversees the implementation of awarded grants or special contracts, including supervision of grant-funded staff positions. She works on strategic planning projects and building community partnerships which advance the agency’s mission. Prior to her work in this position, she served as SCLARC’s Family Resource Center Manager by significantly expanding the FRC’s program and advocacy activities, providing parent education and support, and conducting outreach for SCLARC.
As a graduate from the University of Southern California Master of Social Work program, Ms. McGinnis Gibney’s studies emphasized Community Organization, Planning and Administration. She holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Center for Nonprofit Management, and she completed her B.A. in Sociology and Spanish at the University of Southern California. Prior to working at SCLARC, Ms. McGinnis Gibney managed literacy and after-school programs, and worked in the field of advocacy for elderly and disabled populations.
