A results driven dedicated professional with solid experience in the Social Service Community. Mr. Grimes has over 10 years of experience working as a K-12 educator. He also has solid knowledge of community based programs serving persons with disabilities.
Since 2011, Mark has worked at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services in Pasadena, California as a parent partner providing peer to peer support, advocacy and system orientation to families in need of intensive group support. In this capacity, he collaborates with teams and families in the development of client treatment plans.
Mark has also worked for the Marriott Foundation as an Employer Representative where he recruited, assessed and enrolled program participants in work programs in South Los Angeles. During this time he represented Marriott on the Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board.
Mark has a B/A Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Dominquez and is presently enrolled in Abraham Lincoln School of Law. He and his wife have two daughters. One of his girls is a SCLARC consumer diagnosedwith Autism. This Monday she will transitionto a SCLARC residential placement facility.
