Position Objective/Summary: The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting annual and/or semi-annual program/facility quality assurance monitoring. The individual investigates complaints and allegations of abuse involving vendored programs/facilities and intermediate care facilities. If substantiated, he/she will issue a corrective action plan (CAP) and conduct follow-up meetings to ensure the plan’s implementation. The Quality Assurance Specialist conducts Special Incident Report (SIR) follow-up investigations, which includes coordinating activities with the agency’s director, clinicians, consultants and when indicated, the planning team. Other duties include vendor and staff technical assistance training, presentations to community groups, special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required For This Position: Master’s degree (MS/MA) from an accredited university in the human service field. A minimum of one year experience in the field of developmental disabilities. A bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience will also be considered. Two years Regional Center Service Coordination experience preferred. Must be knowledgeable of and apply essential computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A valid California driver’s license is required. Bilingual pay (English/Spanish) and available evenings and weekends when necessary.

Salary Range: $46,370- $62,141
