Salary Range: $51,982 - $76,801
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides case management services for an assigned caseload. Works closely with consumers and/or their families. Communicates with staff, vendors and the community. Organizes and resolves work-related situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Contacts assigned consumers and documents; contacts according to established SCLARC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policy, and completes required documentation.
Prepares case transfers as needed.
Attends all unit, division, supervision, staff and in-service training meetings as required.
Attends all Planning Team meetings at primary programs and any other consumer related special meetings/hearings (e.g. SCAN, court, IEPs/IFSPs staffings, mental health, governmental/community agencies, placement, etc.) as required.
Handles officer-of-the-day (OD) duties as required.
Handles confidential information and adheres to Welfare and Institution (W&I) codes.
Consults with appropriate specialists regarding the service needs of consumers.
Maintains effective working relationships with top management, peers and staff.
May act as Program Manager in his/her absence.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. However, one may be asked to act as Manager in the absence of the Program Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internships and/or training level employee may have less requirements. Must have two years of early intervention experience 0-3 years of age.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to complete reports and analyze graphs, charts and tables.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and awareness to diverse groups. Must be able to handle confidential information and adhere to Welfare and Institution codes. Must have good time management skills and be PC literate.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
California Driver License, Class C with personal auto insurance (meeting minimum California requirements).
